Financial Finesse (“Financial Finesse”, “we”, “us”, and “our”) has a firm commitment to protect your privacy. This Privacy Statement (“Privacy Statement”) discloses our policies regarding information we obtain from you (“you” and “your”) and other third party users (“Users”) and how we collect, store, use, and limit and protect the uses to which that information is put when you access and use the products and services (“Services”) made available through our websites, including, but not limited to www.ffhub.com (“Site”).

We are committed to building Users’ trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the principles of disclosure and informed consent. Accordingly, we wish to notify you about:

  • What information is collected from you through the Site.
  • How that information may be used, including with whom it may be shared.
  • Choices you have about collection, use and distribution of your information.
  • How you can access, update or delete your information.
  • Security precautions regarding loss, misuse or alteration of your information.

These policies apply only to the Site, which consists solely of those web pages we control. You should determine what privacy policies apply to other web sites before providing information to them.

By using the Services, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Statement and consent to the collection and use of information by us as set forth in this Privacy Statement. This Privacy Statement does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy, information, or other data collection, storage, and use practices of any third party operating any site or property to which the Site contains a link, including, without limitation, our clients (“Client(s)”), third party advisors (“Advisor(s)”), Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Analytics and any third party (“Linked Site(s)”) or who may provide certain services in connection with your access and use of, and our ability to provide certain products and services to you through, the Site as further detailed herein, including, without limitation Zoom Video Communications, Inc., The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, EvoShare and Google, Inc. (“Third Party Processor(s)”). The Site may use social media plug-ins (e.g., the Facebook “Like” button, “Share to Twitter” button) to enable you to easily share information with others. When you visit the Site, the operator of the social plug-in can place a cookie on your computer or other electronic device that enables that operator to recognize individuals who have previously visited our Site. If you are logged into the social media website (e.g., Facebook, Twitter) while browsing on our Site, the social media plug-in allows that social media website to receive information that you have visited our Site. The social media plug-in also allows the social media website to share information about your activities on our Site with other users of their social media website. These sharing settings are managed by the social media website and governed by its privacy policy. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of each of these websites, apps, or services before connecting your accounts or sharing any Personal Information. In addition, the inclusion of a link on out Site does not imply endorsement of, or affiliation with, the Linked Site by us. Please note that the Site may include the ability to access and submit (including, for example, via a third-party software application or service that is available through or in connection with the Site) certain information directly to third parties. Such information is submitted by you directly to such third parties; this Privacy Statement does not apply to any Personal Information submitted by you to third parties.

YOU AGREE, UNDERSTAND AND INTEND THAT THIS ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE IS BINDING UPON YOU AND YOUR HEIRS, EXECUTORS, AGENTS, ADMINISTRATORS AND ASSIGNS.

The Site is controlled and operated from the United States; accordingly, this Privacy Statement, and our collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information is governed by U.S. law, and the Site is not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States.

Children Under the Age of 13

Our Site is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information to or via the Site. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information via the Site. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take corrective action as required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). If you are a parent or guardian and believe we might have collected children’s Personal Information in a manner not permitted by COPPA, please contact us by sending a letter to the following address: 883 N. Douglas St. El Segundo, CA 90245 with “LEGAL: COPPA” in the subject line, and we will take corrective action required by COPPA.  

Parents may want to consider commercially available parental control protections to limit what minors can access online and/or monitor their minor children’s online activities.  Examples include:  www.netnanny.comwww.webwatcher.com and www.sentrypc.com.  We do not endorse these or other services and are not responsible for them.

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS.

California law allows California residents to ask companies with whom they have an established business relationship to provide certain information about the companies’ sharing of personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes.  We do not share any California consumer Personal Information with third parties for marketing purposes without consent.  

California customers who wish to request further information about our compliance with this law or have questions or concerns about our privacy practices, please send a letter to the following address: 883 N Douglas St. El Segundo, CA 90245  and include your name, address, and e-mail address, oran email to [email protected]  with “LEGAL: Request for California Privacy Information” in the subject line. We will provide the requested information to you at your e-mail address provided in response. We reserve our right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the e-mail or mailing addresses specified in this section.

What Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Through your use of the Site, we may obtain various types of contact and user information from you that can be used to identify you (whether alone or in combination), such as your IP (or Internet) address, company and user names, email addresses, and demographic and profile information such as zip code, age, and income level (“Personal Information”). We also collect and store statistics and other information about the online activities of our visitors on an aggregated basis (“Anonymous Information”). For example, we may track the number of people who view each page.

We obtain information in several ways. Some is required as part of the registration process or otherwise is provided by you.

  • Registration: When you (on your own or through your employer/our Client) register an account with the Site or sign up to attend an event, you will be asked to provide your first and last name, email address and password, company, zip code, demographic information, age and/or birthdate, employee ID, and income level.
  • Evoshare Sign In: When you elect to sign on by and through your Evoshare, you will be asked to provide your Evoshare credentials and security certificate. 
  • Event Hosting: When you register to host or attend an event via our Site, you will be asked to provide your first and last name, username and password, email address, company, title or position, employee ID, and contact address.
  • Newsletter: When you register with us by e-mail or through the Site to receive Newsletters or emails, you may provide us certain Personal Information.
  • Communicate with you: When you communicate with us by e-mail or through the Site, you may provide us certain Personal Information.
  • Hub: When you use the HUB to access certain Content or to chat with any of our planners, you may submit certain Personal Information to us.
  • Survey: If you participate in any survey, you may provide certain Personal Information as part of your response.

Additionally, information is gathered through “cookies” automatically when you use the Site. “Cookies” and other tracking technologies store information, including pixels, web beacons, “clear GIFs”, local storage, and device identifiers, which deposit special codes and special information on your browser when you visit a website. When you use the Site, we may track and collect the following:

  • Usage data and information about your interactions with the Site such as the pages that you visit and links you click on, and the date and time the Site on your device access our servers.
  • “Internet Protocol (IP) address” is a number that is automatically assigned to your device from which you are accessing the Site by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), and is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit the Site, along with the time of the visit and the activity on the Site, browser type, and the page you’ve viewed or engaged with before or after using the Site. We use IP addresses for purposes such as calculating Site usage levels, helping diagnose server problems, administering the Site and determining your approximate geographic location.
  • Cookies:
    • We may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your computer until deleted) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience with the Site. When you visit a website, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each site can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it. Persistent cookies can be removed by following your Internet browser’s directions within the help tab. However, in order to use certain aspects of the Site, your web browser must accept cookies, and therefore some aspects of the Site may not work properly if you choose to disable cookies.
    • We may also use cookies, pixels, “Web Beacons” (which are usually small, transparent graphic images) and navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URLs to gather information regarding the date and time of your visit, the features and information for which you searched and viewed, or the e-mail you opened. This type of information is collected to make the Site more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your interests and needs.
  • Geographic Location Information: If you use any location-enabled products or services, you may be sending us location information (e.g. IP address). When you use a location-enabled service, we may collect and process information about your precise geographical location, such as GPS signals sent by a mobile device. We may use your device’s physical location to provide you with personalized location-based services, content and advertisements. In some instances, you may be permitted to allow or deny such uses of your device’s location, but if you choose to deny such uses, we may not be able to provide you with the applicable personalized services and content.
  • Device Information: Certain information is collected by most browsers, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, device type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system version, Internet browser type and version and the type and version of the Site that you are using. We may also collect a unique device identifier assigned by us to the device from which you are accessing the Site and other transactional information for the device that we may use to serve content and advertisements to the device.
  • Software Development Kits (“SDK(s)”): We may use third parties including our business partners who use mobile SDKs to collect information and information related to how mobile devices interact with the Site. An SDK is computer code that app developers can include in their apps to enable ads to be shown, data to be collected and related services and functionality to be implemented. A mobile SDK is in effect the mobile app version of a pixel tag or beacon. We may use this technology, for instance, to analyze how you interact with content and advertisements and to enable analytics or other features through mobile devices.
  • Aggregated Information: We may aggregate Personal Information so that the end-product does not personally identify you or any other user of the Site, for example, by using Personal Information to calculate the percentage of our users who like a particular Service.

How We Use Your Information

We generally use your Personal Information only to operate the Site and make your experience more efficient, effective and enjoyable. As a general practice, we do not sell, rent or otherwise give your Personal Information to any other party, except in limited circumstances such as compliance with law or with your permission, as noted below. Thus, we would not sell your name, email address or other Personal Information to mass marketers or other third parties without your consent. We use your Personal Information in the following ways:

  • Most uses we make of your information are for Site administration of your use of the Site, such as processing and tracking of orders, diagnosing problems with our server, identification, security and billing, sending you administrative information regarding the Site or your account. We may also use this information to contact you for operational purposes, such as tracking of orders and fulfilling your purchases and requests.
  • We use demographic and profile data to tailor your experience, such as to show you content we think you might be interested in or tailoring the way the Site is presented.
  • We may also use your Personal Information to provide you with information about Financial Finesse or to send you promotional materials from our partners or us. You may opt-out from receiving promotional materials and mailings as described below.
  • We may share certain Personal Information with your employer/our Client to the extent required by you.
  • When you sign up for an event with one of the Advisors, your Personal Information may be provided to the Advisor, including, without limitation, your name, email address, phone number, company affiliation, and age, for administration of the event, to communicate with you about the event, to provide you any materials, and to allow the Advisor to get in contact with you. Please review the Advisor’s terms of service and privacy policy before signing up for an event. If you do not agree with the terms of service and privacy policy of the applicable Advisor, please do not sign up for the event.
  • We sometimes share Anonymous Information with some of our partners. However, none of this information identifies you in any way without your consent. For example, we may share data that shows that a certain percentage of our Users click on a certain article, but there would be no identification of specific Users.
  • We may use your Personal Information to provide, improve, test, monitor, and develop the Site and Services, including, without limitation, to provide you access to the Site, identify usage trends, and determine the effectiveness of promotional campaigns, develop and test new Services and features as well as diagnose and fix technology problems in connection with current Services, and otherwise for our business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, developing new products, enhancing the Site, improving our Services, identifying usage trends and determining the effectiveness of promotional campaigns.
  • We may use your Personal Information as we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public or government authorities, including public or government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce our Terms of Service (for Clients, as provided under separate cover, and for Users as set forth here (https://www.ffhub.com/ffemployees/terms-of-service) and Privacy Statement; (e) to protect our operations; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety or property, or that of you or others; or (g) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.
  • We may combine Personal Information that you submit on or through the Site with information that we collect from and about you from other online and offline sources, including from our own websites and web properties (including apps, widgets and players) and third party sources, which may include social media services you interact with through our Site.
  • Unless otherwise indicated herein, only if you consent, will we share personal, identifiable data about you to third parties. On particular pages where we ask for Personal Information, we may explicitly tell you that the data we ask for may be shared with third parties, which may include, without limitation, our Clients or Advisors. Examples include where we collect Personal Information through a contest, poll or survey. In such instances, we will tell you how we will use this Personal Information and with whom we will share it; if you then provide us with the requested information, we may share it as described, despite anything else in these policies to the contrary. In such instances, you will have the opportunity to avoid such use, either by not participating in the contest or survey, or by opting out as described below.
  • We may share your Personal Information as part of a sale, merger or change in control of Financial Finesse, or in preparation for any of these events. Any other entity that buys us or part of our business will have the right to continue to use your data, but only in the manner set out in this Privacy Statement unless you agree otherwise.

There are circumstances where we may need to provide individual information to third parties. For example, we may disclose your Personal Information if we in good faith believe it is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against you or someone who is violating our Terms of Use of the Site, breaking the law, causing injury to or interference with others or otherwise violating the rights of others. We may also disclose information to the extent we believe in good faith it is required by law or for administrative and other purposes we deem necessary to maintain, service and improve our Services. In all such circumstances, we will limit what information we disclose to the extent we believe it to be appropriate. We may also share your Personal Information as part of a sale, merger or change in control of the Company, or in preparation for any of these events. Any other entity that buys us or part of our business will have the right to continue to use your Personal Information, but only in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy unless you agree otherwise.

Choices Regarding Collection, Use and Distribution of Information – Opting Out and Corrections.

We or our vendors may send you emails or other promotions our vendors or we offer that we believe may be of special interest to you. Only Financial Finesse (or our agents who are required to comply with these policies) will send you these materials. If you do not wish to receive these materials, you may either modify your account preferences to opt out from such promotions, send an unsubscribe email by the means indicated in the materials.

You may indicate that you do not wish to receive our emails by unsubscribing using the link provided with each of the emails.

You also have choices concerning cookies. Your Internet browser allows you to accept all cookies, be notified when a cookie is sent or reject all cookies. However, if you reject cookies, we may not be able to customize the content we show you or otherwise learn your preferences. There may also be Services that require the use of cookies in order to optimize their performance. This may negatively affect your Site experience. Note that your browser settings may allow you to automatically transmit a “Do Not Track” signal to sites and online services you visit. There is no consensus among industry participants as to what “Do Not Track” means in this context. Like many websites and online services, we currently do not alter our practices when we receive a “Do Not Track” signal from a visitor’s browser. If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a procedure on most devices through which the Site is accessed that allows you to decline the use of cookies.

In addition, we may place advertising on the Site that originates from outside advertisers or other third parties. In some cases, if you click on these advertisements, a cookie may be sent to your computer. We do not control these cookies.

To opt out of Google Analytics, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser found at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. To opt out of Google Analytics for display advertising or customize Google display network ads, you can visit the Google Ads Settings page found at https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

If your device stores Flash LSOs, and if you do not want Flash LSOs stored on your device through which you access the Site, you can adjust the settings of your Flash player to block Flash LSO storage using the tools contained using the Website Storage Settings Panel. You can also control Flash LSOs by going to the Global Storage Settings Panel and following the instructions (which may include instructions that explain, for example, how to delete existing Flash LSOs (referred to as “information” on the Macromedia site), how to prevent Flash LSOs from being placed on your device without you being asked, and (for Flash Player 8 and later) how to block Flash LSOs that are not being delivered by the operator of the page you are on at the time). On your mobile device, you may also choose to enable the “Limit Ad Tracking” setting in your iOS phone’s settings, or the setting to “Opt out of Ads Personalization” in your Android phone’s settings. To opt-out of location tracking when using our Site, you can use the settings of your device. You can disable mobile analytics and bug reporting through these same settings as well.

Security

Although no use of the Internet is 100% secure, the Site uses security measures to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of your information under our control. We use industry-standard, SSL (secure socket layer) encryption, which makes it difficult for third parties to access information on the Site. In addition, your account information and profile information are password protected so only you have access to it. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted through our Properties either to us, our Services Providers, Clients or Advisors. We cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will not gain access to your Personal Information; therefore, any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures in connection with the Properties. We recommend you not divulge your password to anyone, that you use a combination of letters and numbers in your password and that you change your password regularly. You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We urge you to be careful about giving out Personal Information in public areas of the Site as such information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the Properties.

You may edit your password and account information as indicated on the Site.

We restrict access of Personal Information to authorized personnel of Financial Finesse, employees, contractors, vendors and Service Providers, and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, innovate, and deliver our Properties and any purchases made thereon. Personal Information will only be disclosed to those vendors and Service Providers of Financial Finesse for the purpose of administering our Properties and completing transactions taking place thereon in accordance with the uses as outlined herein.

Changes In Policies; Terms and Conditions

We may change these policies from time to time. If any such changes materially and adversely affect the use of your information, we will generally refer to such changes on the Site for a period of time or otherwise notify you via e-mail, although our failure to do so will not affect the applicability of such changes. Accordingly, we recommend that you check back to review these policies from time to time, particularly if you have not visited the Site for some time. These policies are also subject to our Terms of Use, which are incorporated herein by reference, and we also recommend that you review those from time to time.

How you can access, delete, change or suppress your Personal Information.

In your request, please make clear what Personal Information you would like to have changed and what limitations (if any) you would like to place on our use of your Personal Information. We may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes, and there may also be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records which will not be removed. We are not responsible for changing, removing or suppressing information from the databases of unaffiliated third parties, including Service Providers, with which we have already shared your Personal Information.

If you cease employment with your employer/our Client, or otherwise desire for your Personal Information to be deleted, you or your employer/our Client may request we delete the Personal Information we have collected about you, or we may do so in the ordinary course of business.
