Making a New Beginning

January 13, 2015

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language, and next year’s words await another voice, and to make an end is to make a beginning.”  T.S. Eliot fans may recognize this poem, entitled Little Gidding, that focuses on the unity of the past, present, and future. Although not a well-known poet like Eliot, I’ve been writing my weekly blog posts for the past 4 years.

Looking back, I’ve blogged about almost all of my family and friends, as we can probably all look closer at our loved ones and learn a thing or two about finances.  Some may be tough lessons, such as Financial Infidelity or the Grandparents’ Scheme. But this year awaits another voice with new lessons to be shared, and so next week, I will be passing my electronic pen to my colleague, Tania for her to make a beginning of her blogging journey.

If you are a regular Tuesday reader, I’ve been doing my own version of uniting the past with the future by introducing some of Tania’s tales recently about her discussion on Doing the Math on College Planning with her nieces and nephews and When Planning Really Matters on the loss of her best friend. Looking forward, you can bet I’ll be the first to be reading Tania’s Tuesday blogs. I hope you do too.
